Lady R Wedding & Chauffeur Hire began in 2007 with two passions we have always shared – classic cars and weddings.

Lady R began with a dream car…

When we bought our beautiful vermilion red Bentley Turbo R, we finally owned a car we’d always dreamed of.

My husband Terry first suggested we could also use it for weddings. It was a beautiful classic car, and red is the symbol of love. As a romantic couple who loved weddings and classic cars, it seemed like the perfect combination.

Our very first wedding was at St Mary’s Church in Stone, where a young couple chose our Bentley for their wedding day. I still have some lovely photographs from that first wedding and, looking back, that was the real beginning of Lady R.

We then added our beautiful white Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit. Some of our favourite weddings were when both cars were out working together. We loved working together and being part of the excitement of a wedding day. 

Our vision was giving couples something more than simply a journey from A to B. We wanted them to enjoy the experience, with a beautiful arrival and a special first journey together.Lady R Wedding Cars was something we built together, something Terry absolutely loved, and something that became a very special part of our lives.

Today, Lady R is entering a new chapter, with our beautiful classic vintage Regent Landaulette becoming the new heart of Lady R for the 2027 wedding season.

Lady R is a boutique, family-run wedding car business, deliberately keeping the business small so that every wedding we take on gets the care and attention it deserves.  From a dream car, to a family business, to a new chapter.  The story of Lady R Continues.
